National Stadium Karachi new name and is now National Bank Cricket Arena.
The PCB has entered into an agreement with the National Bank to change the name of the National Stadium. The agreement was signed by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and Bank President and CEO Rahmat Ali Hosni and the agreement are for 5 years.
Ramiz Raja said that it is an honor for National Bank to tie up with PCB. However, stadiums are a wonderful way of marketing, and it is worldwide.
He said that Karachi is the cradle of cricket and National Stadium is a history of Pakistan cricket. The CEO of National Bank said that it is the beginning of partnership with our board, working as a national institution, it is an honor to take the rights of the National Stadium.
“Besides the naming rights agreement. The PCB and NBP will also collaborate and partner on sponsoring initiatives to promote and develop grassroots cricket across the country, including supporting the PCB initiatives of scouting local talent in the rural areas of Pakistan,”
PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja said:
“I want to welcome the National Bank of Pakistan back in the PCB family after having supported Pakistan cricket in the past. NBP again partnering with the PCB is great news as this reflects that prestigious organizations are willing to be associated with the Pakistan cricket brand as they see value in it for themselves,”
“Additionally, I am grateful to the National Bank of Pakistan for also extending support to the PCB Pathways Programmed. I have always emphasized creating processes for raw talent that can be into the national framework.
In this background, this partnership with NBP is a significant movement in that direction,” he added.
NBP CEO Rehmat Ali Hasnie said:

Pakistan Cricket Board and National Bank of Pakistan have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the naming rights of the National Stadium in Karachi.
