Fox Sports Australia has deleted an article on Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam from its website and social media where some serious allegations were made against Babar Azam. Fox Sports deletes news about Babar Azam baseless allegations

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed these allegations as baseless. While it has said in a statement that Babar Azam himself did not consider these allegations worthy of reply. Fox Sports has removed the news from its ‘Fox Cricket’ social media account and website after PCB’s response. Most Pakistani fans have praised the board for its response, and some have even demanded an apology from Fox Sports. It should be noted that Fox Sports and other media reported on the tweets, which were shared by a parody account for ‘humor’.

Fox Sports Deletes News about Babar Azam Baseless Articles:

A link to this news was also given in a tweet from a verified account named Fox Cricket on social media. In which these allegations about Babar Azam were openly mentioned. Interestingly, Fox’s piece referring to the allegations referred to a blue-ticked Twitter account that purported to be a parody. His name is Dr. Nimo Yadav.

“This is the parody account that has the internet divided,” Fox wrote. Some believe the content is accurate and Babar could be in trouble. But others believe it is a deliberate campaign against the Pakistan captain.

It was also written in the article that ‘although the authenticity of this content is unclear.’

However, PCB retweeted this tweet saying, ‘Being our media partner, you should have thought of ignoring such baseless personal allegations which Babar Azam did not consider worthy of a response.’

 

After this response from the Pakistan Cricket Board, Fox Cricket not only deleted that tweet but also removed this article from the website.

Now on opening this link, Fox Sports gives a message saying, ‘We’re sorry, the page you’re requesting has been permanently deleted.’

After PCB’s response to Ace Cricket’s post, journalist Sohail Imran commented that ‘PCB defended the national hero by giving a polite but strong statement.’

 

On the other hand, a user named Farid Khan said Fox Cricket deserves a Shut-up Call.

 

On PCB’s tweet, Ebba Qureshi says, “Please delete them from the partnership list.”

A sarcastic tweet that was accepted as true:

The parody account on which many websites reported the allegations against Babar Azam has also given his stand in several tweets.

He wrote that the article is based on lies because “I said so in a sarcastic way.”

He also said that ‘I want forgiveness, Babar Azam. I deleted my post at the request of an Indian cricketer.
