Shaheen Afridi Early Life:
Shaheen Afridi is from the Zakhakhel Afridi tribe of Pashtuns. He grew up in Landi Kotal, a town in Pakistan’s Khyber province on the border with Afghanistan. He is the youngest of seven siblings. His elder brother, 15 years his senior, is Riyaz Afridi who played a Test match for Pakistan in 2004.
Riyaz Afridi introduced Shaheen Afridi to hard ball cricket during the FATA Under-16 Test in 2015, Shaheen was playing only tennis ball cricket till then. Success at this level led to Shaheen being selected for Australia’s Under-16 tour in November 2015, where he took four wickets in a 2-1 ODI and Twenty20 series win.

Domestic Career Journey:
In December 2016 Shaheen Afridi was selected for Pakistan under 19 team for the under 19 Asia Cup.
In September 2017 Shaheen Afridi Signed a two-year contract with Dhaka Dynamite. Afridi Made his first-class debut in Quaid Azam Trophy on 6 September 2017. He took 8 wickets in 2nd innings and was the best figure for a Pakistani bowler on his first-class debut.
In 2017 he was again selected for the Under 19 Asia Cup where he took 7 wickets in 5 matches.
On December 26 Shaheen was selected for Pakistan Under 19 world cup team. He is the highest wicket Taker for Pakistan in a tournament of 12 wickets.
In April 2018 Shaheen was named to the Baluchistan squad for the Pakistan cup 2018 and made his List A debut in the Pakistan Cup.
In the 2020–21 National T20 Cup, Afridi took his second five-wicket haul in three T20 matches with figures of 5/20 in his four overs. Three days later, Afridi took another five-wicket haul of 5/21 in their match against Sindh. In October 2021, Afridi signed a contract with Middlesex to play England domestic matches until July 2022. However, he returned to Pakistan in mid-May to prepare for the team’s home series against the West Indies.

PSL Career :
Shaheen Afridi made his PSL Debut in Lahore Qalandars Team on 23 February 2018. His First Three matches in PSL were not good he conceded so many runs. But after that, he took 5 wickets For 4 runs against Multan Sultan and Lahore won this match By 6 wickets, and Shaheen Afridi was the player of the match.
In December 2021 Shaheen Afridi was named Captain of the Lahore Qalandar Team. Qalandar won His First Title After 6 years under Shaheen’s captaincy. Shaheen is the leading wicket-taker in this Tournament and Youngest captain to win the t20 league.
